The things that matter - every day, and for a lifetime. The things you need that make your life complete, rich, and rewarding.

The essence of a community is hard to quantify, but is found in its people, its character, its soul. The essence of St. Charles is best found in our basic values - caring, helping, teaching, nurturing.

Education plays a special and prominent role in St. Charles, with Lindenwood University (the oldest university west of the Mississippi, and the fastest-growing four-year university in Missouri); St. Charles Community College, (a modern high-tech campus known for its responsiveness to student, employer, and community educational needs); and three top-rated public school districts (School District of the City of St. Charles, Francis Howell School District, and Orchard Farm School District).

Health care is easily accessible, state-of-the-art, and complete in every respect. Our highly acclaimed trauma center-rated, acute care hospital, SSM St. Joseph Health Center, is located in the heart of downtown St. Charles. Also, Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital has served St. Charles County since 1980, with medical staff representing more than 30 medical and surgical specialties and sub-specialties. Three other hospitals also are located in St. Charles County.

Few things define a community more than its neighborhoods, of which St. Charles offers a remarkable blend, each distinctive yet part of the same fabric of a community woven together by common interests and shared dreams.

Churches in St. Charles represent virtually every major denomination of Christianity.

Schools, hospitals, neighborhoods, churches - the building blocks for that solid foundation people call quality of life.

You'll find them all here in St. Charles, a community where the welcome mat is on permanent display, and its message is sincere.
